Governance Calendar
This page describes a proposed governance cadence, not evidence that every listed meeting or milestone has occurred. Actual meetings, decisions, attendance, and authority should be supported by current records.
Proposed cadence
The Foundation should adopt and publish a proportionate schedule that includes:
- Quarterly board meetings
- Annual governance review
- Ad hoc committee sessions as needed
- Formation milestone reviews during the board buildout period
Formation milestones
- Board role definition finalized
- Conflict and conduct policies published
- Board packet assembled
- Initial candidate outreach completed
- Prospective directors reviewed against independence criteria
- First seated board meeting scheduled
What the calendar communicates
- The Foundation has a real rhythm of governance.
- Board work is planned, not improvised.
- Service has a measurable commitment attached to it.
- Candidates can judge fit before committing.
