Representational Integrity Division

The Representational Integrity Division stewards knowledge and participation where AI materially creates, alters, simulates, attributes, authenticates, or distributes a representation linked to a person or authorized persona. Its current normative output is the Representational Integrity Domain Profile v1.0.

Stewardship scope

The program maintains evidence and change proposals concerning representational authority, synthetic disclosure, provenance and attestations, identity and biometric data, non-misattribution, remedy, trust appraisal, stripping and forgery, and claims of truth, authenticity, consent, authorship, ownership, or detection accuracy.

Research and source boundary

W3C Verifiable Credentials, C2PA Content Credentials, RATS concepts, watermarking, and detection can supply bounded evidence. None automatically proves truth, identity, authorization, authorship, or legal effect. Applicable law and other Source Profiles control rights, exceptions, and duties.

Institutional boundary

This page does not establish a universal provenance technology, specialist credential, separate certification track, or current ACTIVE Division status.
