Emotional Autonomy Domain Profile

Emotional Autonomy applies where an AI system infers, generates, modulates, optimizes for, or materially responds to human affective or emotional states. It protects legitimate human authority without treating any single theory or instrument as universally required.

`EM-01`	Legitimate authority for material affective interaction, including operational refusal, withdrawal, and exit where participation is discretionary.
`EM-02`	No material deception about AI identity, emotional capacity, role, or represented authority.
`EM-03`	Emotional data and affective inferences remain necessary, purpose-bounded, proportionate, protected, and governed across their lifecycle.
`EM-04`	Safeguards scale with foreseeable vulnerability, dependency, manipulation, overload, crisis, and developmental risk.
`EM-05`	Emotionally consequential outcomes are contestable and connected to competent correction, disengagement, data remedy, escalation, or referral.
`EM-06`	Claims of empathy, emotional benefit, safety, therapeutic effect, risk reduction, or scientific validation remain within the evidence.

Each requirement is tested through a declared Verifiable Condition, Evidence set, and Verification Rule. Results are SATISFIED, UNSATISFIED, INDETERMINATE, or NOT APPLICABLE.

Evidence and claim boundary

Evidence may include authority and role records, interaction design, affective-data flows, population and risk analysis, representative scenario tests, monitoring, incidents, complaints, remedy outcomes, and direct research.

This Profile supports a bounded HEART determination. It does not establish a clinical diagnosis, therapeutic efficacy, causal emotional harm, instrument validity, or legal compliance. EST, CAEI, RCTA/BGF, MAP-family methods, or other tools may be selected when fit for the actual claim; none is universally mandatory.
